Giovanni Scelzi won both nights at Texas Motor Speedway to close the 2026 Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing season. Rico Abreu won the championship.

Friday, October 16. Scelzi started seventh in the 25-lap feature and worked his way forward. Tanner Holmes led the first 12 laps, then Abreu, who started third, took over and led laps 13 through 17. Scelzi moved into second on lap 16 and passed Abreu for the lead on lap 18, then led the final eight laps. Tyler Courtney, who rose from 11th after an engine change, finished second and took the hard charger award. Abreu was third, followed by Tanner Thorson and Daison Pursley. The win cut Scelzi's deficit in the standings from 45 points to 36 going into Saturday.

Saturday, October 17. Scelzi started on the pole and led all 30 laps of the finale, worth $25,000. Abreu stayed on his tail the whole way, trailing by 0.016 seconds with two laps to go, and finished second, 0.202 seconds behind. Brent Marks, Thorson and Courtney completed the top five.

Second place was enough. Abreu won the championship by 31 points over Scelzi, his second straight title and his first driving the Carquest Auto Parts No. 24 for Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing.

Scelzi, driving for Spire Motorsports in his first full-time High Limit season, won his third straight race, counting his earlier win at Lakeside, and took home $50,000 for the Texas weekend. He finished with a series-best 43 top-10s.
