Larson, an Elk Grove, California, native and co-promoter of the Hangtown 100 with Russell Motorsports since 2025, will race both divisions each day at the quarter-mile dirt oval. He has won the USAC Midget portion of the Hangtown 100 in 2019 and 2023. FloRacing reported the commitment on Nov. 3.

Placerville holds early landmarks in Larson’s dirt career. He made his first Sprint Car start there in 2007 and scored his first Sprint Car win at the track later that season. He also clinched the 2010 Golden State KWS-NARC Series championship at Placerville.

The Hangtown 100 schedule features two days of USAC National Midget competition, capped by Saturday’s 100-lap, $10,000-to-win finale. Winged 360 Sprint Cars race both days, with $2,000 to each feature winner. Grandstand gates open at 1 p.m. PT and racing is scheduled for 2 p.m. PT Friday and Saturday. The event streams live on FloRacing.
